    What is the format of the IELTS test?

    In IELTS, there are four papers: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. There are two different IELTS modules: Academic and General Training. The Speaking and Listening tests are the same in both modules, but the Reading and Writing tests are different.

    What is the scoring system for the IELTS test?

    You will be given a score from 1 to 9 for each part of the test – Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. The average produces your overall band score. You can score whole (e.g., 5.0, 6.0, 7.0) or half (e.g., 5.5, 6.5, 7.5) bands in each part of the test.

    What is the validity period of an IELTS test score?

    An IELTS Test Report Form (TRF) is valid for two (2) years.

    What are the differences between the Academic and General Training versions of the IELTS test?

    The Academic version of the IELTS test is designed for students who plan to pursue higher education, while the General Training version is for candidates who are seeking employment or immigration to English-speaking countries. The Listening and Speaking sections are the same for both versions, but the Reading and Writing sections are different.
