GMAT is a registered trademark of the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). GMAT is an acronym used for the Graduate Management Admission Test. This computer adaptive test is designed to evaluate certain analytical, writing, quantitative, verbal, and reading skills in written English for use in admission to a Graduate Management Program, such as an MBA. GMAT is considered to be the number one choice for MBA aspirants.
According to the test conducting body, the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), the GMAT tests analytical writing and problem-solving abilities while also checking data sufficiency, logical and critical reasoning skills that it believes to be crucial to real-world business, and management success. It can be taken up to 5 times a year but not more than 8 times in total. There must be a gap of at least 16 days in test attempts. More than 7,000 programs at 2300+ business schools across the globe accept GMAT scores for the selection process.
There is no particular eligibility criteria for appearing for the GMAT. However, before applying to any college or university it is advised to check what all the desired college or university demands.
The aspirant must have completed 18 years of age; however, there is no upper age limit to apply to take the test.
If an applicant is falling between the age group of 13 to 17 years, he/she should have permission in writing from their parents or from their legal guardian.
GMAC, the exam conducting body for the GMAT has not issued any official statement regarding the qualification criteria one needs to have in order to appear for the test.
If an applicant is planning to enroll in an MBA program, he/she must have a graduate degree (in any discipline) from a recognized university.
The GMAT exam has 4 sections. GMAT is a three and half hour test with maximum score of 800 points.

This section measures the ability to analyze data and find out the conclusion using reasoning skills
This section measures the ability of the applicant to read and understand written material, evaluate arguments, and correct written material to conform to standard written English.

Scholarships and grants are mostly given by Business Schools to pursue a professional program like MBA. Furthermore, scholarships can be need-based or merit-based but there are no stiffened rules for awarding a GMAT scholarship 2021. It depends on each school’s admission procedure, so, the applicant should always check with the school itself for earning a scholarship. Also, there are 2 kinds of scholarships, full and partial. The full scholarship covers the entire cost of the program, whereas a partial one covers only some part of the course fee. So, it is advised to keep checking the official website of the respective B-School, College or university you are interested in.
