  • A minimum overall average of 60 per cent in 10th,11th, and 12th and all prerequisite subjects.
  • The minimum 6.5 band score is essential with a 6.0 band score in the individual component section score in the IELTS test.
  •  A minimum score of 100 in Education and Management, 79-80 in Music, and 90 overall with a minimum of 21 in each section for other undergraduate programs in the TOEFL test.
  • Pearson Test of English-Academic – An overall score of 65 or higher with an individual component score of 60 will do the work. 
  • Duolingo English Test – Minimum score of 115 is needed to qualify for the university.

Post-graduate Level Requirement 

  • A bachelor’s degree in the subject closely related to the program applied for.
  • A minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.0 out of 4.0 or a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.2 out of 4.0 in the last two years of full-time studies; a higher GPA might be required by some departments
  • The minimum 6.5 band score is essential with a 6.0 band score in the individual component section score in the IELTS test.
  •  A minimum score of 86 overall with a minimum of 20 in individual component scores in the TOEFL Test.

How to apply for McGill University?

The admission process offers admission in the fall, winter, and summer intakes. For undergraduate students, the admission process for the fall intake commences on October 15 and continues until January 15. Usually,  McGill University doesn’t admit undergraduate students for the January session (winter semester). Therefore, applicants should apply for the fall intake.

For graduates, the application process happens on a rolling basis. Therefore, the applicants must be vigilant about the deadline dates, as they may vary for each department.
