The Eligibility Requirements for Singapore Management University

To be considered for admission, applicants

  • Must have completed a minimum of 12 years of formal education and achieved good grades in the recognized examinations. For those taking high school exams between January and May 2023, actual results must be submitted within three days of their release. If results are not yet available, predicted scores attested by a school teacher or counsellor must be submitted by March 31, 2023. Self-reported predicted scores are not accepted.
  • Applicants who have completed Foundation qualifications may be eligible to apply if they have been enrolled in a recognized university for at least one year and can provide satisfactory university results for consideration. Their foundation qualification and university exams will be evaluated during selection.
  • SMU admission requirements for International students: International applicants must take one of the following standardized tests SAT, ACT, IELTS, TOEFL, C1 Advanced, or Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic), before 19 March 2023 and submit their test scores by 31 March 2023. Any tests taken after 19 March 2023 will not be considered.
  • Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed, and Law applicants will also be required to take a writing test. These interviews and tests will be conducted from end-March to April.

The Application Process for Singapore Management University

To apply to Singapore Management University, applicants must

  • Register on the university’s portal. 
  • Choose the program and subject specialization
  • Provide their name, permanent address, and transcripts, along with other required supporting documents. This includes scores from an English proficiency test, SMU Admission test, and any entrance exams.
