  • The scholarships are available to all Indian passport holders who are residents of India at the time of application. 
  • Candidates are expected to have a good first degree from a recognised Indian university.
  • Indian passport holders with an undergraduate degree from a recognised foreign university must have resided continuously, been employed, or studied in India for at least two years after their graduation.

  • Candidates who have received a deferred offer of admission must have a valid offer for the academic year 2023-24 to be considered for the 2023 scholarships.
  • Applicants must not be over 30 years of age. 
  • The minimum academic grade required for Social Sciences, Humanities, Law, Fine Arts, Architecture, and related subjects is 65%, a CGPA of 6.8, or a GPA of 2.6 from a recognized institution. For Mathematics, Sciences, Environment, and related subjects, the minimum academic grade required is 70%, a CGPA of 7.2, or a GPA of 2.8 from a recognized institution.

The Application Process for the Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation Scholarships 

To apply for the scholarship, candidates must 

  • complete an online application process 
  • possess a valid passport
  • Upload two letters of reference, one from an academic referee, and provide official email addresses for both referees.

Each candidate is allowed only one application, and the online portal will not accept applications that do not meet the academic and financial eligibility criteria outlined previously. For applications submitted on 30th March 2023, the referee link will be active for seven days after submission until April 6, 2023.

The selection process for the Shivdasani scholarship involves three stages:

Candidates who do not receive any notification from the Foundation by the first week of May should assume that their applications were not successful.

Shivdasani Foundation Scholarship Benefits

The Shivdasani Foundation Scholarship covers program tuition fees, as well as living expenses, healthcare, and one-way airfare, with a maximum award of up to USD 100,000. If the total cost exceeds this amount, applicants must demonstrate that they have the means to cover the additional expenses at the time of application.

Applicants who apply to Imperial College London, the Royal College of Art (RCA) in London, the University of Cambridge (Cambridge Trust), Sciences Po in Paris, and King’s College London can benefit from additional funding through the Foundation’s collaborative scholarships with these institutions and may surpass the USD 100,000 limit when applying. 

Candidates are not permitted to conduct field trips to India during their study tenure. However, this condition does not apply to applications made under the King’s College London partnership. If the scholarship is not initiated within nine months of being awarded, it will be forfeited.
